The bathroom floor must be smooth and level before vinyl flooring can be fitted or any irregularities in the floor will show through.

The main drawback of vinyl flooring is that it can be slippery when wet, but there are some non slip vinyls available.

Some vinyl floors can be heat sealed and skirtings formed to provide one continuous waterproof membrane for use in wet rooms.
